The Opportunity
Gallagher is on an exciting growth trajectory, and we're scaling our Information Systems team to help drive the next phase of our digital evolution. As we continue to grow, dependable, scalable infrastructure has never been more critical - and that's where this role comes in.
As Head of Infrastructure & Operations, you'll lead the teams responsible for keeping Gallagher's technology environment running at its best - from cloud platforms and enterprise networks through to service operations, data centre management and end-user support. You'll oversee both the day-to-day performance of our technology estate and the long-term evolution of the platforms that underpin our global business.
Working closely with Cyber Security, Architecture and the wider Digital Business Technology leadership team, you'll drive cloud adoption, improve operational maturity and create a seamless technology experience for employees across New Zealand, Australia, the UK and beyond.
What You’ll Do
Develop and deliver Gallagher's infrastructure and cloud strategy across Azure, AWS and hybrid environments
Lead infrastructure operations, ensuring platforms remain secure, resilient, scalable and highly available
Drive service management excellence across incident, problem, change and release management
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across infrastructure and service operations, leveraging automation, self-service and modern ITSM practices to enhance efficiency and user experience.
Oversee service desk and end-user support, delivering an outstanding technology experience for employees
Lead infrastructure upgrades, cloud modernisation and automation initiatives that improve efficiency and reduce complexity
Develop high-performing teams across infrastructure, cloud, operations and workplace technology
Partner with technology leaders to ensure infrastructure continues to support Gallagher's strategic priorities and future growth

You'll bring:
Significant leadership experience across enterprise infrastructure, cloud operations or technology service management
Strong expertise in Azure, AWS and hybrid infrastructure environments
Experience leading IT service management functions, including service desk, major incident management and ITIL practices
A proven ability to modernise technology platforms while maintaining operational stability
Strong understanding of networking, cloud infrastructure, end-user computing and modern workplace technologies
Commercial acumen with experience managing operational budgets, vendors and technology partners
Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills
