The Opportunity

With our business continuing to evolve, we're growing our Information Systems team to build the capability needed to support our people, products, and customers around the world.

This is your opportunity to shape the future of cyber security across a complex, global technology organisation - setting the strategy, influencing executive decision-making, and protecting the systems that power our business.

As Head of Cyber Security, you'll set the strategic direction for Gallagher's cyber security capability, ensuring our people, products, platforms and information remain secure in an increasingly complex digital landscape. You'll lead the evolution of our cyber security strategy, resilience capability and governance framework while enabling the business to innovate with confidence.

Working closely with the CIO, Executive Leadership Team, Architecture, Digital Business Technology leaders and the Audit and Risk Committee, you'll provide trusted advice on cyber risk, emerging threats and security investment. You'll champion a pragmatic, business-focused approach that balances governance and protection with agility, growth, and innovation.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and lead Gallagher's enterprise cyber security strategy, roadmap and operating model

• Advise executive leaders and the Board on cyber risk, resilience and security priorities

• Strengthen Gallagher's cyber resilience through modern incident response, recovery and risk management practices

• Embed security into enterprise architecture, software delivery, cloud platforms and third-party ecosystems

• Lead governance, compliance and assurance across security frameworks, audits and regulatory obligations

• Foster a strong organisation-wide culture of cyber awareness, accountability and digital trust

• Develop and inspire a high-performing cyber security team while building trusted partnerships across the business

• Drive continuous improvement by adopting modern security practices and technologies that support business outcomes

The Fit

You're a strategic cyber security leader who understands that great security enables great business. You combine deep technical expertise with executive presence, helping leaders make informed decisions about risk while creating an environment where innovation can thrive.

You'll be equally comfortable presenting to the Board, leading security strategy, responding to emerging threats and building a culture where cyber security is everyone's responsibility.

You'll bring:

• Significant leadership experience in enterprise cyber security, information security or cyber risk within a complex organisation

• Experience advising executive leadership teams and Boards on cyber strategy, governance and organisational risk

• Strong knowledge of modern security frameworks including ISO 27001, NIST CSF, SOC 2 or equivalent

• Proven experience across cloud security, identity and access management, data protection, secure architecture and third-party risk

• Relevant industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM or equivalent

• Strong commercial judgement and the ability to balance security, risk and business priorities

• Outstanding stakeholder engagement, communication and leadership skills
