About the Role
As a Senior Electronics Engineer within Gallagher Security, you'll take ownership of electronic hardware design across new and existing products, ensuring solutions are innovative, reliable and commercially successful.
Working closely with software engineers, product managers, manufacturing teams, and other technical specialists, you'll help bring new security technologies from concept through to production. This is an opportunity to contribute directly to the hardware behind Gallagher Security's access control, perimeter, and high-security solutions used by organisations around the globe.
Key responsibilities include:
Designing robust electronic circuits and hardware solutions for new and existing products
Developing prototypes, conducting testing and driving root cause analysis
Ensuring designs meet electrical safety, EMC and manufacturing requirements
Leading technical discussions, design reviews and engineering decisions
Mentoring and supporting the development of other engineers
Collaborating with manufacturing teams to successfully introduce new products into production
Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives, emerging technologies and engineering best practices
About You
You'll be highly capable electronics engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and influencing product outcomes. You combine strong technical expertise with a collaborative approach and are comfortable providing leadership within multidisciplinary teams.
We're looking for someone who has:
A Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (or similar)
At least five years' experience in electronics hardware design
Experience working in product development and manufacturing environments
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding capabilities
Knowledge of EMC and electrical safety compliance requirements
Experience using PCB CAD design tools
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
A continuous improvement mindset and passion for innovation
It would also be advantageous if you've previously mentored engineers or led technical workstreams within development projects.
