About the Role
With our Devices Team scaling rapidly and new product development accelerating, we’re looking for a Lead Engineer – Electronics, to provide technical leadership across complex electronic product programmes.
You’ll act as the technical lead for the electronic engineers guiding the design, validation, and delivery of high-performance electronic systems across multiple product platforms. Working closely with mechanical, firmware, test, manufacturing, NPI, and procurement teams, you’ll guide solutions from architecture and schematic design through to production-ready release while enabling sustainable, high-quality delivery.
In this role, you will:
• Provide technical direction across circuit design, PCB layout, and system architecture
• Lead design reviews and influence engineering standards and best practice
• Take ownership of high-level design decisions and support architectural direction for your squad
• Ensure designs meet performance, reliability, compliance, and cost targets
• Oversee validation, testing, and issue resolution throughout development
• Mentor and develop electronics engineers, strengthening capability across the discipline
• Support squad delivery by helping remove technical blockers and enabling effective decision-making
• Support Learning First Product Development and continuous improvement
About You
You thrive in technically complex environments and bring depth across both hands-on design and engineering leadership. You enjoy solving challenging problems, influencing cross-functional teams, and delivering robust, production-ready outcomes while supporting others to grow and succeed.
What you’ll need:
• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering (or similar)
• 8+ years’ experience in electronic product design within an R&D or product development environment
• Strong experience in circuit design, PCB development, and embedded hardware systems
• Knowledge of compliance standards, EMC considerations, and design for manufacture
• Proven ability to diagnose technical issues and drive effective solutions
• Clear communication skills and confidence influencing across disciplines
Desirable: experience with high-volume manufacturing, product certification, mentoring engineers, or global supplier engagement
