What You’ll Do
As a Test Engineer, you’ll play a key role in delivering embedded systems that perform flawlessly in tough environments. You’ll:
- Learn and apply test strategies across device, edge and cloud.
- Build and maintain automation frameworks and tools (with guidance and mentoring).
- Execute manual and automated tests on hardware and simulations to ensure reliability and safety.
- Parse device and cloud logs, isolate defects, write crisp bug reports, and partner with engineers to resolve issues.
- Track progress and quality metrics, surfacing risks and supporting release readiness.
You’ll also collaborate across firmware, software, and product teams, review test plans and automation code, and influence designs to embed best practices early.
Continuous improvement is key - streamline processes, evolve frameworks, and share knowledge within the team.
Occasionally, you’ll provide technical support to internal and external users, including after-hours when needed.
What You’ll Bring
You’re methodical, curious, and driven by a passion for getting things right. You thrive in agile environments, love collaborating to solve problems, and want to learn from experienced engineers.
You’ll bring:
- A degree in Computer Science, Software, Electronics Engineering (or equivalent) + 1 years' experience OR Equivalent practical experience of 2+ years in a similar role
- Experimented with Arduino, ESP32 and/or Raspberry Pi
- Some exposure to embedded/firmware testing (manual or automated) and Python scripting - projects, internships, or coursework count!
- Ability to read C firmware and interest in RTOS or bare-metal systems.
- A willingness to learn test strategy design, log analysis, and fault isolation.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with evolving specs.

Nice to Have
- Experience with hardware interfaces (UART, I²C, SPI), bootloaders, OTA updates, and wireless stacks (BLE, Wi-Fi, Cellular, LoRa).
- Familiarity with AWS/GCP/Azure, MQTT/REST APIs, and edge-to-cloud workflows.
- Exposure to CI/CD tools (Git, Jenkins) and collaboration platforms (Jira, Confluence).
