Position Summary
Location: Americas Mid-West Region (Remote)
The Regional Sales, Business Development Manager-Federal & Commercial is a strategic growth role focused on expanding Gallagher’s presence across Federal and Commercial markets in the Americas. This position exists to drive market penetration, build strong channel and prime contractor relationships, and uncover new opportunities in key verticals such as Data Centers, DoD, DHS, Energy, Power Generation, Healthcare, SLED, Aviation, and Critical Manufacturing.
This role is essential to Gallagher’s mission of becoming the trusted advisor and premier solutions provider in PACS (Physical Access Control Systems), IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), and PIDS (Perimeter Intrusion Detection Systems). The position will play a pivotal role in expanding our footprint in the Midwest Region, the second-largest Federal market, and will directly support growth in key verticals in territory.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer (end-user) Engagement: Build and manage relationships with Federal and Commercial end-users and act as a technical liaison to ensure alignment between customer needs and Gallagher’s solutions.
- Channel & Prime Development: Identify, recruit, and grow Channel Partners and Prime Contractors across the region. Foster strategic alliances with key integrators and solution providers.
Market Expansion
- Drive new business in select verticals by identifying and developing opportunities where Gallagher’s security solutions deliver unique value.
- Proactively identify new market sectors-including emerging and underserved areas - where Gallagher’s integrated solutions can be deployed to solve complex security challenges.
- Expand Gallagher’s presence in Data Centers, DoD, DHS, Energy, Power Generation, Healthcare, SLED, Aviation, and Critical Manufacturing.
- Collaborate with internal teams and manufacturer partners to tailor offerings that meet the evolving needs of Federal and Commercial clients.
Strategic Execution
- Support and grow Gallagher’s existing book of business.
- Increase exposure to manufacturer partners and leverage their networks for joint opportunities.
- Lead proposal development, RFP responses, and technical solutioning.
Regional Impact
- Support the Federal Team growth strategy and expand Gallagher’s influence in the Midwest Region.
- Deliver measurable growth in DoD and DHS opportunities, spanning all sub-agencies.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in business development or technical sales, preferably in Federal and/or Commercial sectors.
- Deep understanding of government procurement, compliance, and contracting.
- Strong technical acumen in integrated security systems, access control, or related technologies.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Willingness to travel across the Americas region as needed.
