The Opportunity
Gallagher Security is a global team of passionate, out-of-the-box thinkers on a bold growth trajectory. We’re seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to lead the charge in hunting, developing, and closing new business opportunities across Victoria and Tasmania. This strategic, hands-on role involves executing growth strategies across multiple verticals while mentoring other BDMs and contributing to regional planning. You’ll be instrumental in building Gallagher’s market position by targeting, qualifying, negotiating, closing, and nurturing profitable relationships with channel partners, end users, architects, engineers, consultants, and key industry influencers.
This role must be based in Melbourne, with regular travel across the VIC/TAS region to engage with clients, partners, and the wider sales team. Occasional interstate travel may also be required for national events, training, or planning sessions.

The Fit
The ideal candidate will be an ambitious and collaborative sales professional, comfortable owning and executing growth strategies while mentoring others in the team. You’ll bring strategic sales capability and experience in B2B solution selling, ideally within the security or technology sector.
You’ll also need:
- 5+ years of experience in business development, solution sales, or account management
- Proven ability to deliver results in a complex, competitive market
- Experience managing high-value deals and navigating long sales cycles
- Strong understanding of channel sales models and partner relationship management
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills
- A strategic mindset and a desire to innovate and deliver long-term value
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and lead by influence
- A desire to grow within a global organisation and contribute beyond individual targets
