Help shape how we price, sell and grow our global Animal Management business
Gallagher is building technology that protects what matters most. From securing some of the world's most valuable assets to helping farmers care for millions of animals, our solutions are trusted in more than 160 countries.
Within our Animal Management business, we're redefining what's possible in agriculture through connected hardware, intelligent software and world-class engineering. From smart livestock solutions to our eShepherd virtual fencing technology, we're creating products that help farmers work smarter, improve animal welfare and farm more sustainably.
As our business continues to grow globally, we're also evolving how we make commercial decisions. That's where this newly created role comes in.
About Gallagher Animal Management
You'll join a global AgTech business at an interesting point in its growth - with the opportunity to bring greater structure, visibility and insight to an area that has traditionally been managed across individual regions.
The Opportunity
This isn't a role where you'll simply inherit an established pricing function. You'll help build it.
As Pricing & Retail Analyst, you'll bring together pricing, retail, market and competitor data to create a clearer picture of what's happening across our markets. You'll turn that insight into practical recommendations that help regional leaders make smarter decisions around pricing, promotions, margins and commercial opportunities.
You'll work across commercial, sales and product, giving you a broad view of how our products are developed, positioned and taken to market. Your work will contribute to the execution of our pricing strategy across our markets within New Zealand, Australia, North America and Europe.
It’s a great opportunity to combine analytical depth with commercial and product exposure. You’ll use data and insight to solve pricing challenges, while working closely with sales and product teams to influence how our products are positioned in market.
You’ll be responsible for
Building pricing models, reporting and processes that improve visibility and consistency
Analysing pricing, promotions, margins, market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities
Turning complex data and market insight into clear commercial recommendations
Supporting pricing decisions for new products, promotions and broader commercial planning
Partnering with sales, product, finance and regional leaders to improve commercial decision-making
Helping establish a more connected and strategic approach to pricing across Animal Management
The Fit
You're commercially minded, analytical and curious. You enjoy getting into the detail, but you're equally comfortable stepping back to understand the bigger commercial picture and what the data is telling you.
You can take information from different sources, make sense of it and communicate the story clearly. Just as importantly, you're comfortable working with people across different functions and influencing decisions without having direct authority.
You'll also bring:
3–5 years' experience in a relevant commercial, analytical, pricing, retail or product-focused role
Strong Excel skills, including modelling and scenario analysis
Experience with Power BI or a similar reporting and visualisation tool
A strong understanding of commercial drivers such as pricing, margin and profitability
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
A degree in Commerce, Business, Finance or a related discipline
