We’re looking for a Customer Service Team Lead to guide our Mudgee-based customer support team, helping deliver outstanding service to rural retailers, resellers, and farmers across Australia. This role supports Gallagher’s animal management product range, including electric fencing and agricultural weighing solutions manufactured locally under the trusted Thunderbird brand.
About the Role
As Customer Service Team Lead, you’ll be responsible for leading day-to-day service operations while supporting and developing a small, dedicated team. You’ll ensure customers receive knowledgeable, timely support across Gallagher’s range of livestock management and fencing products.
You’ll act as the link between customers, internal teams, and our locally manufactured product line, helping ensure smooth communication, strong service standards, and continuous improvement.
What You’ll Be Doing
Lead, coach, and support the customer service team to deliver consistently high service standards
Manage inbound enquiries from rural retailers, distributors, and farmers
Provide guidance on Gallagher’s electric fencing, livestock weighing, and animal management products
Work closely with supply chain, technical, and sales teams to resolve customer needs
Monitor service performance and identify opportunities to improve processes and the customer experience
Support order management, product enquiries, and after-sales service
About You
You’re a natural people leader who enjoys supporting both customers and team members. You understand the importance of practical, reliable solutions in agriculture and are confident working with technical product ranges.
You’ll bring:
Experience leading or mentoring a customer service team
Strong communication skills and a calm, solutions-focused approach
The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Confidence working with product-based enquiries (experience in ag, rural supplies, or technical products is highly regarded)
A genuine interest in supporting Australian farming communities
What You’ll Bring
Leadership or supervisory experience in a customer service environment
Strong communication and relationship building skills
Experience supporting customers by phone and in person
Good computer skills (Excel, Word, general system confidence)
A practical, can-do mindset (agriculture experience a bonus!)
Ability to support continuous improvement and team performance
