About Gallagher
Gallagher has been helping farmers protect what matters most since 1938. Our technology is trusted in over 160 countries - from high-security environments to everyday farm operations - and we’re proud to support the people who keep agriculture moving.
In our Animal Management business, we focus on practical solutions that make farm life easier, more productive and more sustainable. Whether it’s improving animal welfare, streamlining operations or supporting environmental goals, we’re here to help farmers do what they do best - backed by smart systems, strong support and long-term partnerships.
The Opportunity
We’re looking for a Territory Sales Manager to lead growth across the Gippsland region and incorporating solid structure and sustainable growth as they do it. This is a field-based role - but it’s not ad-hoc or reactive. Success comes from clear planning, disciplined execution and strong follow-through - alongside trusted relationships on farm.
You’ll take ownership of the territory end-to-end: planning your weeks, prioritising opportunities, managing a healthy pipeline and delivering against agreed sales targets and business metrics. You’ll balance face-to-face time with farmers and dealers with the behind-the-scenes work that keeps a high-performing territory running smoothly.
Alongside day-to-day sales and technical support, you’ll take a strategic view — identifying growth opportunities, strengthening brand presence through events and partnerships, and helping shape Gallagher’s footprint in a diverse and evolving region.
What the role looks like
This role suits someone who enjoys being out in the field, but who also values structure, preparation and accountability. You’ll spend most of your time on the road - working directly with farmers, dealers, and rural partners to deliver Gallagher’s full suite of animal management solutions - supported by clear targets, reporting rhythms and planning tools that help you stay focused and effective.
You’ll:
Be on the road 4 days a week, with 3-4 overnight trips per month and regular field day attendance
Plan and structure your weeks to balance existing accounts, new business activity and follow-ups
Manage your territory through disciplined use of systems - tracking customer conversations, opportunities and outcomes
Support our dealer network and end-users with both sales and technical expertise
Deliver against sales targets, KPIs and agreed business metrics
Strategically grow the region – through networking, events and brand-building
Sell the full Gallagher vision: hardware, software and the future of farming
Who we’re after
We’re looking for someone who is both ag-savvy and commercially sharp. You’ll be comfortable working independently, but you’ll also understand that strong sales performance comes from preparation, organisation and consistency - not just time on farm.
This role will suit someone who can clearly articulate how they plan their week, manage their pipeline and keep on top of customer follow-ups, while still building genuine, trusted relationships in the ag community.
The ideal candidate:
Has proven sales success, ideally within the agri-sector
Is motivated by results and understands how to work to targets and KPIs
Is organised, methodical and comfortable managing the “admin” side of sales alongside field work
Communicates with ease - and can present, connect and influence with credibility
Is digitally capable and confident using CRM or sales tracking tools
Is based centrally within the Gippsland territory
