The Opportunity

At Gallagher Security, our Senior Software Engineers (Front End) are key drivers in creating world-class user experiences for our SMB platform, used by customers across the globe.

We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our agile development team. You’ll take a lead role in designing and implementing the user-facing aspects of our products, working closely with the UX team and wider engineering squads. Your expertise will ensure that our applications are robust, secure, and scalable, while providing an outstanding user experience.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Leading collaboration with the UX team to define product scope and design solutions through techniques such as design sprints, prototypes, and user story mapping
• Developing and delivering high-quality front-end software components using modern web frameworks, including ReactJS and Redux
• Applying HTML, CSS, and JavaScript skills to produce clean, maintainable, and efficient code
• Reviewing and providing feedback on peers’ code, promoting best practices and coding standards across the team
• Supporting existing products through technical troubleshooting, debugging, and quality assurance
• Mentoring junior and intermediate developers, sharing knowledge, and contributing to team growth
• Staying up to date with emerging technologies and front-end development trends to continuously improve team capability

About You

You’re a hands-on front-end engineer who enjoys solving complex problems, collaborating in an agile environment, and delivering high-quality user experiences. You take pride in clean, secure code and in seeing your work used by real-world customers.

You’ll bring:

• A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of commercial software development experience
• Strong proficiency in front-end web development backed by a Cloud-hosted microservice architecture, including ReactJS, Redux, HTML, CSS, and modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks
• Experience in developing secure web applications, including knowledge of OWASP and CORS policies
• Proficiency with version control, debugging tools, and agile development practices
• Demonstrated experience mentoring and enabling other team members
• Some experience in mobile application development
• A preference for working and delivering in an Agile, customer-focused, outcome-driven, collaborative environment
