- Break down tasks, estimate effort, and deliver software components using appropriate tools and languages
- Support, maintain, and improve existing product capability
- Communicate problems clearly and propose well-reasoned solutions
- Follow established engineering practices including code reviews, testing, and quality standards
- Investigate defects to enable prompt, effective resolution
- Work collaboratively within an agile team to achieve project outcomes
- Stay current with emerging technologies and contribute to knowledge-sharing across the team
- Take ownership of your learning, development, and continuous improvement
The Fit
You bring a solid foundation in commercial software development, with experience across modern engineering practices and the ability to work confidently across both front-end and back-end technologies.
You’ll bring:
- A relevant tertiary qualification
- At least three years’ commercial software development experience
- Proficiency in .NET Core, C#, REST APIs, and web services
- Experience building for containerised environments (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Strong SQL capability with PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or similar
- Proficiency across front-end technologies - HTML, CSS, and modern JavaScript frameworks such as React
- Experience working in collaborative, agile environments
- Knowledge of AWS cloud application development
- Familiarity with CI/CD, build and deployment systems
- Confident use of debugging tools, version control, and unit testing
- Ability to work across multiple languages and platforms
- Experience in designing and documenting features or modules
Desirable experience includes Ruby, Blazor, automated testing, NoSQL databases, and knowledge of security-aware development (OWASP, CORS, etc.).
