The Opportunity
We’re seeking a Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst to join our Finance team at Gallagher’s headquarters in Hamilton. This role is critical in delivering timely and insightful financial reporting and performance analysis across Gallagher. You'll play a key part in supporting the annual planning, budgeting, and forecasting cycles, as well as providing the insights that drive better decisions across the business.
You’ll collaborate with Finance Business Partners and senior stakeholders to support strategic initiatives and improve financial processes through analytics and business intelligence tools.
What You’ll be Doing
- Budgeting, Forecasting & Planning: Support the FP&A team in managing budgeting cycles, aligning cross-functional inputs, and improving forecast accuracy through automation and streamlined workflows.
- Performance Reporting: Deliver timely, standardized financial reports to support decision-making, and analyze enterprise-level results to identify risks and opportunities.
- Project & Business Case Support: Contribute to investment prioritization and strategic initiatives by developing robust financial models and ad hoc analyses.
- Insights & Analytics: Assist in creating insightful performance reports and presentations using BI tools, helping to frame key business decisions and actions.
- Strategic & Process Improvement Initiatives: Provide on-demand financial analysis for special projects (e.g., M&A), and support continuous improvement in financial reporting and analysis processes.
The Fit
You’re an experienced finance professional who thrives on data-driven decision making and stakeholder engagement. You enjoy solving complex problems, managing multiple priorities, and translating numbers into strategic insights.
You’ll need:
- 2 - 3 years’ experience in a financial analyst or FP&A role
- Relevant qualification in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Business
- CA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent qualification
- Strong financial modelling and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities
- Experience with SAP, Adaptive Insights, and Power BI (desirable)
