About the Role
This is a great opportunity for a Junior Test Analyst to build their testing career within a supportive, product-focused engineering team. You’ll help test Gallagher’s security software, working across manual testing and learning more about automation as you grow. With guidance from experienced testers, you’ll design and execute test cases, investigate issues, document defects clearly, and help ensure our solutions meet customer and technical requirements.
You’ll be encouraged to ask questions, learn from others, and contribute to continuous improvement as you develop your skills in a global technology environment.
Key responsibilities include:
Write and execute test cases based on requirements and acceptance criteria
Identify, investigate and document defects clearly so they can be reproduced and resolved
Support manual testing activities across new features, enhancements and fixes
Work closely with developers, testers and product teams to support quality outcomes
Build your understanding of testing processes, tools, automation and best practice
Contribute ideas that help improve how we test and deliver software
About You
You’re curious, detail-oriented and keen to develop your career in software testing. You enjoy understanding how products work, asking good questions, and working with others to solve problems. You may already have some testing experience, or you may be looking to take the next step after study, an internship, or an early-career technology role.
You’ll bring:
Some exposure to software testing, quality assurance or software development
An interest in manual testing, test case design and defect reporting
A basic understanding of the software development lifecycle
Strong attention to detail and a logical approach to problem solving
Clear communication skills and a willingness to learn from others
Exposure to SQL, databases, scripting or test automation would be an advantage
Relevant study, training or certification such as ISTQB Foundation would be beneficial, but is not essential
Working at Gallagher
You’ll be part of a global, future-focused organisation where creativity and innovation are valued and supported. Working in an environment driven by collaboration, innovation, passion, craftsmanship and mutual respect, you’ll help achieve our team purpose to translate vision into exceptional creations.
