As part of Gallagher's Animal Management division, eShepherd™ is revolutionising livestock management through virtual fencing technology. Our GPS-enabled, solar-powered solution enables farmers to remotely manage livestock, improve productivity, and support better environmental and animal welfare outcomes.

We're looking for a Senior Electronics Engineer to join our New Ventures team and help develop the next generation of products powering this globally growing solution.

The Opportunity

This is a hands-on senior engineering role where you'll contribute advanced technical expertise across the full product development lifecycle, from concept and circuit design through to prototyping, testing, validation, and production implementation.

Working within multidisciplinary teams, you'll design robust, cost-effective electronic solutions, solve complex technical challenges, and help ensure our products deliver exceptional quality, reliability, and performance in demanding real-world environments.

You'll also contribute to technical reviews, support engineering best practice, and help mentor developing engineers within the team.

What You'll Be Doing

• Design electronic circuit solutions for new and existing products

• Develop prototypes and support products from concept through production

• Conduct testing, validation, and root-cause analysis to ensure product performance

• Ensure designs comply with EMC, electrical safety, and regulatory requirements

• Support technical reviews and contribute to sound engineering decision-making

• Collaborate with Product, Software, Manufacturing, Procurement, and NPI teams

• Build strong relationships with suppliers and manufacturing partners

• Support continuous improvement of engineering processes and methodologies

• Mentor and support the development of fellow engineers

What You'll Bring

• Bachelor of Electrical Engineering or a related qualification

• 5+ years' experience in a product development or R&D environment

• Proven experience developing commercial electronic products

• Strong analogue and digital electronics design capability

• Experience with PCB CAD and electronics design tools

• Understanding of EMC compliance and electrical safety standards

• Ability to diagnose and resolve complex electronic faults

• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
