Headquartered in Hamilton and proudly New Zealand-owned since 1938, we’re a global technology business with over 1,700 people worldwide. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for an enthusiastic Procurement Coordinator to join our Procurement team and help support the systems, suppliers, and processes that keep our global operations moving.
About the Role
We're looking for a Procurement Coordinator to join our Procurement team, providing operational and transactional support that helps ensure continuity of supply, accurate procurement data, and efficient execution of procurement processes.
This role will work closely with Procurement Category Managers, Procurement Engineers, Purchasing Coordinators, Suppliers, and key stakeholders across Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, and Product teams. You'll play an important role in supporting the Electronics category while also contributing to broader procurement initiatives across the business.
You'll be responsible for maintaining procurement data, coordinating supplier activities, supporting or leading smaller sourcing initiatives, managing supplier and product information updates, and helping the team identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and wants to develop their career within procurement and supply chain.
What you'll be doing:
Maintaining procurement documentation, compliance records, and contract registers
Supporting pricing analysis
Coordinating Engineering and Product change notices
Supporting supplier communications and follow-ups to help address supply-related issues
Assisting with low-risk sourcing activities and Request for Quotation (RFQ) processes
Monitoring component lifecycle and obsolescence risks using available online tools and supplier information
Coordinating supplier onboarding documentation and requests
Supporting data cleansing and system improvement initiatives, including new S4HANA ERP readiness activities
Identifying opportunities to improve procurement processes and ways of working including the use of digital tools and AI. The possibility to grow into more specialist procurement responsibilities over time.
We’re looking for someone who understands that good administration takes judgement and thinking skills, not just data entry, and who is keen to take ownership of the role, use their initiative, and grow their responsibilities over time.
About You
You'll thrive in this role if you're organised, detail-focused, and enjoy building strong working relationships with a range of stakeholders.
You're someone who takes initiative, enjoys solving problems, and can confidently manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy. You have a continuous improvement mindset and enjoy contributing to the success of a broader team.
What you'll bring to the team:
Experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, project management or a related coordination role would be beneficial
A relevant qualification (or working towards) in procurement, supply chain, business, or a related field would be beneficial
This could suit a recent graduate or someone early in their procurement, supply chain, business, or coordination career who is ready to learn, contribute, and take ownership
Experience working with large ERP systems, with SAP experience highly regarded
Strong data management and analytical capability
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
Strong communication and stakeholder relationship skills
Confidence to build relationships, speak up, ask questions, and constructively challenge where needed
The ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
A proactive, action-oriented approach and willingness to take ownership
Sound Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
Experience within manufacturing, engineering, electronics, or technical environments would be beneficial
