The opportunity
This is more than a reliability engineering role.
You'll become the technical link between our customers, engineering and field teams - translating real-world product performance into meaningful engineering improvements. Through structured investigations, data analysis and cross-functional collaboration, you'll identify root causes, influence product priorities and help improve the reliability of a globally deployed IoT platform.

What you'll do
You'll lead investigations into product reliability and performance issues across the global eShepherd platform, and:
Turn warranty data, field insights and customer feedback into product improvements
Drive structured root cause investigations that deliver permanent solutions—not temporary fixes.
Partner with Product, R&D, Manufacturing, Operations and Customer Success to prioritise and implement product improvements.
Build reliability reporting that helps engineering teams make better product decisions.
Support regional Service Engineers and On-Farm Technical Support teams with complex product investigations.
Champion continuous improvement by strengthening systems, processes
Occasional travel to support field investigations and work alongside regional teams
What you'll bring
You'll likely have experience in Product Reliability Engineering, Systems Engineering, Quality Engineering, Field Engineering or another technical discipline where you've investigated product performance and improved complex products.
You're an engineer who enjoys getting to the bottom of complex problems. You're naturally curious, practical in your approach and motivated by improving products that customers rely on every day.
You'll also bring:
An engineering qualification (or equivalent technical capability).
Strong problem-solving skills with a practical, hands-on approach to root cause analysis.
Experience working with hardware, electronics, IoT or connected products.
Confidence using technical data, warranty information and customer feedback to identify trends and drive improvements.
The ability to collaborate across Product, R&D, Operations, Customer Success and Technical Support.
A curious, adaptable mindset and excellent communication skills in a fast-moving environment.
Experience within AgTech, manufacturing or product development would be highly regarded but isn't essential.
