About Gallagher
At Gallagher, our purpose is to protect what matters most - and we live that every day. Our technology is used in more than 160 countries, protecting everything from government infrastructure and global headquarters to dairy farms, wildlife parks, and critical sites around the world.
Headquartered in Hamilton and proudly New Zealand-owned since 1938, we’re a global technology business with over 1,700 people worldwide. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for an enthusiastic People Advisor to support our Security Product team and help create a great experience for our people every day.
About the Role
We’re looking for a People Advisor who genuinely enjoys helping people, building strong relationships, and creating environments where teams can thrive.
This is an opportunity to join a business where people and culture truly matter.
You’ll partner closely with leaders and employees across the Security Product team, providing practical, thoughtful support across the employee lifecycle - from coaching conversations and employee relations matters through to engagement initiatives, development opportunities, and continuous improvement projects.
No two days will look exactly the same, and that’s part of what makes this role so rewarding. You’re solving problems, working collaboratively, and finding better ways of doing things, all while genuinely influencing culture and making a positive impact across the business.
About You
We’re looking for someone who brings both empathy and sound judgement - someone approachable, proactive, and commercially aware, who can build trust quickly and communicate with confidence and care.
What you’ll bring:
At least 2 years’ experience in a People Advisor, HR Advisor, or similar role
Strong employee relations knowledge and confidence managing people matters
The ability to build credibility and trusted relationships with leaders and employees at all levels
A practical, balanced, and solutions-focused approach
Strong communication skills and the confidence to navigate difficult conversations with professionalism and empathy
The ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Why join us?
At Gallagher, we know great people do their best work when they feel supported, challenged, and connected to a strong team culture. Along with meaningful work and opportunities to grow, you’ll also enjoy a range of benefits designed to support your wellbeing and work-life balance.
Opportunity to make a real impact across the business
A collaborative and supportive team environment
Hybrid working options and flexibility
Free on-site parking and access to subsidised café facilities
Annual bonus opportunity and additional employee benefits
Variety, autonomy, and meaningful work
Ongoing opportunities for growth and development
A culture that genuinely values people and leadership
If this sounds like the kind of role and environment where you’d thrive, we’d love to hear from you. Please note, we may begin interviewing and appoint before the closing date, so we encourage you to apply as soon as possible.
