Why Join Us
eShepherd is redefining livestock management with world-leading virtual fencing technology - and farmer demand is growing fast.
We’re looking for a sales professional who can convert that interest into customers.
In this role, you’ll engage with farmers already interacting with eShepherd through digital channels such as website enquiries, campaigns, and webinars. Through remote conversations and virtual demonstrations, you’ll guide them from first enquiry to confident adoption.
If you enjoy solution selling, building trust with farmers, and closing deals that deliver real on-farm value, this is an opportunity to help scale one of AgTech’s most exciting innovations - backed by Gallagher’s 85+ years of global trust.
What You’ll Do
This is a fully remote, home‑office–based sales role focused on converting farmer interest into adoption of eShepherd virtual fencing across Victoria.
Knowledge of livestock farming systems is preferred and ability to relate to farmers is essential.
You’ll take ownership of the customer journey from first conversation through to confident on farm adoption, working primarily through phone, video, webinars, and other digital channels. With a steady flow of inbound and marketing generated leads, you’ll build momentum in the market, run high impact virtual demonstrations, and help farmers clearly understand the practical value eShepherd delivers in their grazing systems.
As the frontline connection with farmers, your insights will play a key role in shaping how we continue to refine, improve, and scale the product.
You’ll:
Manage and convert inbound and marketing generated farmer leads across Victoria
Build and maintain a strong, predictable sales pipeline from enquiry through to close
Consult with farmers to understand their grazing systems and demonstrate real on farm value
Deliver engaging, high impact virtual product demonstrations
Confidently progress opportunities through the sales process and close deals
Guide customers through early onboarding and adoption after purchase
Engage farmers through calls, video meetings, webinars, and online events
Collaborate closely with regional Business Development Managers on market growth initiatives
Maintain accurate pipeline, activity, and forecasting data in CRM
Share real world customer insights with product, technology, and customer teams
Build trusted, long-term relationships with farmers based on credibility, consistency, and practical outcomes
Who Thrives in This Role
You’ll do well here if you:
• Enjoy sales conversations and converting interest into decisions
• Can build credibility and trust with farmers quickly
• Are confident running sales calls, demos, and presentations remotely
• Like managing your own sales pipeline and targets
• Can explain technical solutions in practical farm terms
• Prefer working at pace in a growing business
What You’ll Bring

• Confidence running sales conversations and product demonstrations
• Strong interest or knowledge in beef cattle grazing systems
• Ability to build trust with farmers through phone, video, and digital engagement
• A commercial mindset and motivation to convert opportunities into customers
• Clear and practical communication skills

• Competitive salary plus performance-based commission
• Remote role based in Victoria
• The opportunity to help scale a global AgTech innovation
• Backing and career pathways through Gallagher
