About The Role
We are looking for a Principal Solution Architect in Data to lead the design and evolution of our enterprise data ecosystem.
This is a senior, hands on architecture role where you will shape how data is ingested, governed and activated across the business. You will play a key role in enabling analytics and AI at scale, designing modern, secure and cost effective data platforms across Azure and AWS.
You will work across complex programmes, influencing architectural direction and guiding delivery from concept through to production, ensuring solutions are aligned to enterprise standards and built for real world impact.
What You’ll Be Doing:
• Lead end to end data architecture across ingestion, streaming, lakehouse platforms and curated data products
• Design data as a product frameworks, including ownership, SLAs, lineage and contracts
• Architect and integrate master data management solutions and golden record strategies
• Enable analytics, machine learning and emerging use cases including RAG through governed, production ready pipelines
• Define observability standards including SLIs and SLOs to improve data reliability and performance
• Produce architecture artefacts and guide delivery teams from design through to implementation
• Partner with stakeholders, vendors and delivery teams to align on outcomes and priorities
• Contribute to architectural governance, risk management and technology direction
About You
You are a senior data architect who can operate strategically but is also comfortable being hands on, navigating complexity and turning it into scalable, practical solutions.
You’ll Bring:
• Proven experience designing and delivering enterprise scale data platforms in hybrid or multi cloud environments
• Strong expertise across data ingestion, streaming, lakehouse architecture, governance and semantic modelling
• Experience with data products, master data management and enabling analytics or machine learning use cases
• Familiarity with modern data tooling including open table formats such as Iceberg, Delta Lake or Hudi, orchestration tools and schema management
• Ability to balance long term architecture with pragmatic delivery
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence across technical and business audiences
• A collaborative and forward-thinking mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
