The Opportunity

Step into a pivotal role as Financial Accountant with Gallagher’s dedicated finance team - drive critical financial processes, champion accuracy, and partner with leaders to shape Gallagher’s global success. You’ll support the Global Tax & Finance Lead with accounting, month-end, budgeting, and continuous improvement, ensuring our General Ledger’s integrity and making a real impact across the business.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead month-end close and variance analysis for group and subsidiaries

• Prepare management accounts and support annual budgeting

• Drive audit processes, prepare workpapers, and handle audit queries

• Ensure compliance with finance procedures; provide financial insights

• Manage GST/FBT returns, treasury, and cashflow tasks

• Maintain task manuals; respond to shareholder and sponsorship queries

• A degree in Accounting or Finance

• Membership (or working towards) a Professional Accounting Organisation

• Experience in financial accounting, month-end close, and audit processes

• Advanced Excel and data analytics skills; SAP experience highly desirable

• Strong communication, analytical, and organisational skills
