Lead Animal Management Teams for a Global Impact
Ready to champion people and performance in the world’s leading animal management technology business? In this pivotal, people-centred leadership role, you’ll empower teams across our Animal Management group to grow, succeed, and deliver on ambitious strategic objectives.
Reporting to the Chief People Officer (with a dotted line to the Chief Executive of Animal Management), you’ll work closely with operational, commercial, and technology leaders to drive capability, culture, and engagement across geographically diverse teams. Your efforts will directly support our growth in core areas such as sustainable agriculture, product development, and customer experience.
Key Responsibilities — People Leadership & Organisational Development
- Champion a strong, inclusive culture—fostering belonging, wellbeing, and high performance.
- Guide, coach, and develop leaders and team members across the Animal Management group worldwide.
- Lead initiatives in talent management, organisational design, succession planning, and employee engagement.
- Partner with business leaders to implement people strategies aligned with Animal Management’s commercial direction.
- Facilitate change management and continuous improvement—driving innovative, future-focused ways of working.
- Provide expertise on resolving employee relations matters, always ensuring a fair, consistent approach.
- Oversee compliance with employment law, Gallagher policies, and industry best practice.
What You’ll Bring — Leadership Skills & Experience
- Proven success in a senior People/HR leadership role, ideally in animal management, agriculture, food production, manufacturing, or technology sectors.
- Expert facilitator, mentor and coach—adept at supporting leaders through change and growth.
- Experience shaping and executing people strategies in complex, matrix, or global environments.
- Track record of driving high engagement and building resilient, diverse teams.
- Passion for innovative, future-ready HR practices with a bias for action and continuous improvement.
- Working knowledge of employment legislation in the NZ/AU, internationally is advantageous.
- Excellent relationship management and communication skills, with a collaborative, solutions-focused approach.
