The Opportunity
We’re looking for a driven and strategic Business Development Manager to take eShepherd into the hands of more European farmers. You’ll be at the forefront of transforming livestock farming through Gallagher’s breakthrough virtual fencing technology.
This is a hands-on, high-impact role where you’ll balance strategic thinking with sales execution—working cross-functionally with our global eShepherd, marketing, and product teams to drive adoption and shape the future of sustainable agriculture.
What You’ll be Doing
- Build trust and engagement with farmers, ranchers, and industry stakeholders
- Drive adoption and revenue growth of eShepherd across Europe
- Qualify and convert high-value inbound leads into long-term customers
- Shape market entry and customer acquisition strategies in priority regions
- Gather insights to influence product roadmaps and regional innovation
- Partner with Customer Success to ensure exceptional onboarding and service
- Represent Gallagher at key industry events and speaking opportunities
- Collaborate globally with marketing, product, and sales colleagues
- Provide market and competitor intelligence for strategic decision making
Initially, this will look like
- Identifying and engaging early adopter farms in 1–2 key European markets
- Developing and executing a go-to-market plan tailored to regional needs
- Converting pilot customers and gathering feedback to inform product refinement
- Building a pipeline of qualified leads and strategic partnerships
- Representing eShepherd at major AgTech events to build awareness and credibility

The Fit
You’re passionate about technology and agriculture—and even more passionate about connecting them to solve real-world challenges. You’re a confident communicator who can connect with customers from the field to the boardroom, and you’re comfortable working autonomously while being part of a global team.
To succeed, you’ll need:
- A background in AgTech, livestock farming, or agricultural solutions
- Strong business development or key account management experience
- A consultative, solution-based sales mindset
- High EQ and the ability to build long-term customer trust
- Strategic thinking with the ability to execute and deliver growth
- Excellent communication and CRM skills
- Fluency in English (additional European languages a plus)
- Willingness to travel across Europe regularly
- A bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Business, or Marketing preferred
