The Opportunity

Join our innovative platform team in Gallagher’s Animal Management division as a Software Engineer. You’ll help manage our infrastructure’s back end, ensuring smooth operations and developing behind-the-scenes features.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an intermediate developer to grow their skills while collaborating with senior team members.

Focused on design, development and maintenance, you’ll work with a collaborative team to deliver high-quality, impactful software solutions in agriculture.

You’ll play a key role in:

• Building software features and solving tech debt
• Contributing to design and code reviews with innovative technical solutions.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.
• Driving product quality and technical excellence.

The Fit

We’re looking for a proactive individual who loves to get stuck in. You’ll have strong back-end experience, but will also be involved with front-end tasks, so some exposure or willingness to learn this is key.

To succeed in this role, you’ll also need:

• Commercial development experience with a solid understanding of software engineering principles
• Experience with back-end technologies such as C#, ASP.NET, Postgres and AWS
• Strong collaboration skills and the ability to thrive in a team environment
• A relevant tertiary qualification in Technology
• Proven experience of active contribution to a project in a collaborative team environment
