The Opportunity

We're looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Controller to take charge of the end-to-end accounts payable function across Gallagher’s global operations—including our businesses in New Zealand, Australia, and Europe.

This is a high-volume, fast-paced role where accuracy and strong communication are key. You’ll work closely with internal departments and international suppliers to ensure timely and compliant payment of invoices, resolve discrepancies, and continuously improve AP systems and processes.

What You’ll be Doing

• Process supplier invoices (including multi-currency and automated workflows) accurately and on time
• Reconcile vendor accounts and resolve discrepancies
• Support the business with following procurement and delegated authority policies
• Manage supplier communications and maintain positive relationships
• Execute payments through electronic banking platforms
• Contribute to month-end close and audit preparation
• Drive continuous improvement in AP processes and systems

The Fit

To be successful, you’ll also need:

• 3+ years’ experience in financial administration or Accounts Payable
• ERP experience (preferably SAP); Esker or similar AP automation platform a plus
• Intermediate Excel skills and strong systems literacy
• High attention to detail and strong planning and problem-solving skills
• Great written and verbal communication abilities
• A customer-focused, team-first mindset
